FRSC @32: Corps Urges Staff to Shun Unwholesome Acts

2 Min Read

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ebonyi has urged its staff members to shun acts which could tarnish the hard-earned image of the corps.

Mrs Stella Uchegbu, Sector Commander of the corps, made the call on Tuesday in Abakaliki during the corps celebration of its 32 years of existence.

She said the corps would always pursue its core mandate of making the roads safer.

Uchegbu, represented by the Deputy Corps Commander (DCC) Administration and Human Resources, Mr Clement Nuesiri, lauded the giant strides of FRSC founding fathers and urged the workers to maintain good conduct.

“The staff should re-double their efforts in ensuring safer lives on the roads and key into policies and actions that aim at reducing road accidents to the barest,” she said.

She thanked the state government and all stakeholders in the road safety business and urged them to sustain efforts aimed at saving lives on the roads.

“We commend the resilience of the FRSC workforce in the state and urge it to sustain efforts in ensuring the safety of the motoring public,” she said.

The sector commander conveyed the appreciation of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, to the corps management and staff members, governments at all level, among other stakeholders in the task of securing lives on the roads.

Dr Anya Kama, the State Coordinator of the FRSC Special Marshals in Ebonyi, commended the efforts of the FRSC and pledged the continued collaboration of the special marshals in actualising set objectives.

“The special marshals’ group will re-dedicate itself to the cause of enlightening and educating the public to observe safety practices on the roads,” he said.

Mrs Jane Kema, a motorist in Abakaliki, commended the efforts of the FRSC in securing lives on the roads and urged motorists to observe traffic regulations.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that goodwill messages were delivered on the occasion while the staff members cut the anniversary cake.
