Sarham stated this when AVM Abubakar Liman, the Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, paid him a courtesy visit at the academy in Kaduna on Monday.

The commandant also reiterated that the academy would treat all cadets fairly and would not condone any interference in training.

According to him, no cadet will be victimised though standard must be maintained.

He expressed his determination to produce quality junior officers, those he described as ‘soldier scholars’, who would be good both on the field and in intellect.

The commandant, AFCSC, while stating his purpose of visit, described Sarham as an epitome of exemplary leadership in the Nigerian Armed Force, hence the need to tap from his wealth of knowledge.

Liman, who sought for academic and military collaboration between the NDA and AFCSC, noted that this would produce better tactical level officers expected to contribute to tackling various security challenges facing the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that AVM Charles Otegbade, the Commandant of Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC), also paid a courtesy visit to the NDA commandant.

Otegbade stated that it was necessary for sister military formations to become familiar with one another.

He noted that it was this advocacy between NDA and ATSTC that formed the basis of his visit.

He further stated that such collaboration would be expected to provide avenues to strengthen each institution.

Responding, Sarham called for cooperation in the training of Air Force cadets of the academy.

According to him, this will offer them the opportunity to streamline and get things done more effectively.

He also appealed for collaboration in the area of staff capacity building.
