On Wednesday, Nike unveiled their new jersey designs for the United States, South Korea and Nigerian teams, while the remaining federations will be launched over the coming months.

“The extensive array of federations donning the Swoosh each have unique histories and cultures,” read a statement on the Nike News website. “In 2020, their distinctive attributes are celebrated with highly differentiated collections.
“Building upon the learnings from the successful 2018 Nigeria Collection, Nike undertook deep cultural immersions and collaborated with each federation to ensure the designs truly resonated.
“From hand-drawn prints to custom fonts, each team’s look will be its own, Counter to templatization, Nike designers had 65 chassis options available to them across varying necklines, sleeves, cuffs, badge placement, etc.” the statement read.

According to Heidi Burgett, Nike Senior Director, Global Communications, the new home kit hand-drawn design fuses the traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe w/ modern football design. While the new away kit trim is inspired by Onaism. Broader collection of Super Eagles apparel includes a poncho, vest, dress, & more.
The last design was accepted globally and was named the best kit of the Russia 2018 World Cup. And after almost two years, the three-time African champions are making a U-turn on a new kind of mind blowing green and white jersey.
