Terrorists in trouble as NAF moves to deploy additional troops to northwest zone

1 Min Read

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it would deploy forces to troubled areas in north western states of the country to combat banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges in the region.

The chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubarkar, made the disclosure when he received the executive governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari, in his office in Abuja.

Abubarkar informed Governor Masari that the force would continue to work with other sister security agencies to ensure the territorial integrity of the nation.

He said the force will deal ruthlessly with all criminal elements that seek to undermine the security of Nigeria and Nigerians.

The CAS commended the laudable peace initiatives of the Katsina state government to deal with the issue of banditry in the country.

He, however, vowed that the NAF will continue to working closely with the governments of the affected States.
