Hope Uzodinma has been sworn in as the executive Governor of Imo state following the verdict of the supreme court that upturned Ihedioha’s election victory on Tuesday, Jan 13.
Justice Pascal Nnadi, Chief Judge of Imo state conducted the swearing-in ceremony for Uzodinma and his deputy, Placid Njoku at the state government house.
The ceremony was attended by top guns of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Embattled APC National leader, Adams Oshiomhole, former Imo Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Ifeanyi Ararume were among those present to witness the ushering in of the new administration
Fr. Mbaka had attracted a huge crowd as party supporters thronged him, hailing him for the fulfillment of his 2020 prophecies which predicted that Ihedioha will be unseated.

Uzodinma attributed his victory to the functional judiciary while noting the joy of Imo people at the verdict.
“We owe this victory to the almighty God, we owe it to the functional judiciary, the Supreme Court used the eagle eyes of the law and gave us justice, and there is so much excitement down there in Imo state,” said the new governor.
The governor-elect promised to deliver on his mandate to the beloved people of Imo state.
