The spokesman for the command, DSP William Aya disclosed this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Lokoja on Monday.

Aya said the police had started interrogating the suspects to ascertain their level of culpability in the death of the woman. He said the outcome of the investigation would be made public as soon as it was completed.

Earlier, The Herald reported that President Muhammadu Buhari asked the security agencies to fish out those who burnt Kogi state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), woman leader, Achejuh Abuh, to death during the state governorship election.

The Herald reported that shortly after the announcement of the victory of the APC governorship candidate by the INEC political thugs allegedly continued their killings, including burning alive Acheju Abuh in her home.

In a statement released by his special adviser on media and publication, Femi Adesina, President Buhari described the killing as “primitive behaviour” that should not be condoned.
