The Lagos State Government discovers lion used as security guard by Indian national.
A two-year-old lion cub used as security guard was discovered in a residential building in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State on Sunday. The Lion which is owned by an Indian national is caged at Number 229, Muri Okunola Street in Victoria Island.

“The cub will be tranquilized”, said by Yinka Egbeyemi, Chairman of Lagos State Task-force on Environmental and Special Offences on Monday. “We have placed the house under close watch since Friday and after it has been tranquilized, we will take it to a zoo.’’ he added. He didn’t specify however,if the foreign national will be persecuted.
