Popular female rapper, Nicki Minaj is set to receive the GAME CHANGER award at this year’s #BBWomenInMusic after becoming the first woman to earn 100 appearances on the #Hot100. Billboard’s 14th annual Women in Music event is returning to Los Angeles, and this year’s honorees are Nicki Minaj, Brandi Carlile, Alanis Morissette,and Roc Nation chief operating officer Desiree Perez.

Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, known professionally as Nicki Minaj, is a Trinidadian-born rapper, singer, songwriter, actress, and model. Born in Saint James, Port of Spain, and raised in Queens, New York City, she gained public recognition after releasing the mixtapes Playtime Is Over, Sucka Free, and Beam Me Up Scotty.
