2 Min Read

Microsoft windows 10 1903 dubbed May 2019 update is officially ‘ready for broad deployment for all users via Windows Update’. This information was made available on the Windows 10 Release Information status page o September 26.

Usually Microsoft will test update to its operating systems through the Windows Insider Preview programme and on some select devices or platforms before a general release is made to available to every device. This is the reason some devices already got the update as long as a month ago while others didn’t.

The new update includes a number of fixes for various issues in the OS amongst which are fixes for audio issues affecting certain games.

As Microsoft states in its release information page, devices running Windows 10 1803 April 2018 Update, Home, Pro, and Pro for Workstation editions will reach the end of product support by November 12, 2019.

“We recommend commercial customers running earlier versions of Windows 10 begin broad deployment of Windows 10 version 1903 in their organizations” according to the September 26 note on the page.

Microsoft is still working on Windows 10 version 1909 and may be ready for release soon.

Usually Microsoft release updates to the Windows 10 in April dubbed the Fall Update and in October dubbed the Anniversary Update.

We may yet get an anniversary update this year just maybe not in October. Such is the ever-changing state and rapidly developing characteristic of the Windows 10 since its first launched in 2015.
