The legal team of Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP,  has rejected the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).

The PEPT in its final ruling yesterday has upheld the election victory of Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress , APC,  as the duly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. However, the legal team of Atiku are dissatisfied with this ruling and has promised to challenge it at the Supreme court.

Justice Garba who led the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal dismissed the petition of the PDP candidate on the basis of failure to prove beyond reasonable doubt why he (Atiku( should be declared Winner of the February 23 presidential election.

A member of Atiku’s legal team, Mike Ozekhome, said the judgment will be challenged.

Mr Ozekhome addressed the media saying “The judgment is worrisome, we will appeal that judgment”

So far, Atiku Abubakar is yet to react to the decision of the Tribunal.
