According to a report on Reuters, China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has dropped a lawsuit against the U.S government after the White House released telecommunications equipment it had seized on suspicion of violation of export controls, according to a court filing on Monday.

Huawei was placed on the entity list in May by Washington has sued the Department of Commerce and other U.S. agencies for seizing its equipment in Alaska in 2017 en route to China after a lab test in California.
The tech giant confirmed that the U.S government returned their equipment in August and they have responded by withdrawing the lawsuit.
The China-US trade law has both negatively imparted on Huawei’s operations in the United States and in addition to several other lawsuits and criminal charges leveled against the company by the U.S government the Huawei’s future in the American market is under serious threat.
The White House says Chinese company’s telecoms gear could be used by Beijing to spy, an allegation the Chinese company has denied.
