The Tennis world is in shock as 19 year-old Bianca Andreescu defeats Serena Williams 6-3, 7-5 in the 2019 US Open Final.
Bianca Andreescu is the first female Canadian to win a Grand slam after producing an outstanding performance to beat Serena Williams in the US open final.
The 19 year-old playing in her first major final, was bequeathed the ideal start after Williams double-faulted to drop serve and Andreescu was undaunted as she remained in control and won the opening set 6-3.

In the second set, Andreescu’s level was praised even higher as she ruthlessly took advantage of Williams serving day and served for the match at 5-2.
Williams hit back in incredible performance to level up at 5-5 but when serving you stay in the match, Andreescu seized the opportunity to find her form again and on her third championship, she cracked a forehand return for a winner to make history on Arthur Ashe stadium.
Bianca Vanessa Andreescu is a Canadian Tennis player who reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 14 on August 12, 2019 by the Women’s Tennis Association.
