A 74-year old woman, Yerramatti Raja Rao, who has been married for 54 years just delivered twin baby girls today in a private hospital in Guntur city, India. The 74-year old woman, who did IVF, delivered her babies through a ceasarean session this morning.

Yarramatti and her husband, Mangayamma, have been married for 54years without children. However, after getting motivated by a neighbour who gave birth at the age of 55 through IVF, the couple approached Ahalya Nursing Home, Guntur city, where they met Dr.Sanakkayala Umashankar.
The experts at the nursing home conducted a successful IVF procedure on the couple which resulted in Mangayamma being pregnant with twins.
The successful delivery of the twins by a 74-year old woman today has broken the world record of the 70-year old woman that gave birth to twins in 2015.
