Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission has called on Chinese authorities to ensure justice over the killing of a Nigerian pastor, Joseph Nwajueze in China.
The Anambra-born cleric was living with his wife, Chinwe and four children in China.
Nwajueze was allegedly killed by Chinese security operatives in circumstances suspected to be related to immigration formalities and visa violations.
Herald Nigeria learnt that, Chinese security personnel, in an attempt to arrest the fleeing Nigerian pastor, forcefully used a device on him in order to demobilise him.
This made Nwajueze numb, leading to his collapse and eventual death.
Reacting in a statement made available to newsmen by the Head of Media at the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa lamented that said there was no justifiable reason for the killing.

Dabiri-Erewa condemned the stigmatization of Nigerians living in China, saying those who were found guilty of the country’s laws should be prosecuted.
The statement said, “Abike Dabiri-Erewa, however, appealed to angry Nigerians in China to be patient and not take the law into their hands as the Federal Government will ensure that justice is done.”
