A High court in Kaduna has just ruled that Ibraheem El-zakazky, the leader of the now proscribed group, IMN (Shiites movement) can now proceed to India for his treatment.
Elzakzaky had sustained some injuries after officers of the Nigerian Army laid a siege on his apartment some years back to arrest him and some of his followers.
Since the time, he had remained in custody, as the Federal Government insisted that he and the IMN group in Kaduna were threats to the country’s peace.
The Shiites then began to demand his release, attracting the attention of countries like Iran who equally asked that Elzakzaky be brought to the country for immediate treatment.
With the latest ruling, the cleric will be able to leave the country to receive medical attention.
