Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has asked that the assault and false accusations petitions currently ongoing between Timi Dakolo, his wife, Busola, and The head pastor of the Common Wealth of Zion Church (COZA), be transferred from Abuja to Lagos.
Nigerians including the First Lady, Aisha Buhari had called out the police chief, asking him to intervene as some Police officers bombarded Timi Dakolo’s home in the bid to escort them to Abuja where the Fatoyinbo had filed for false accusations, among other crimes, against him.
Speaking over the phone with newsmen from Punch this evening, human rights lawyer and counsel to the Dakolos, Femi Falana, revealed that Adamu had stated that the case would be handled with fairness.
On the reason the case would be moved to Lagos, Falana stated that it had to be so as the Dakolos were first to file a lawsuit against the COZA pastor.
