The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has published a list of 38 lawyers that will be conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
LPPC’s Secretary, Hadizatu Mustapha revealed the names in a statement.
According to the statement, the new senior lawyers would be sworn in during the 2019/2020 new legal year of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in September.
The Herald‘s check for information on the LPPC’s website showed that there are presently 429 SANs in Nigeria.
To be conferred with the rank of SAN, a legal practitioner must have been practising for at least 10 years.
