Nigerians can expect the release of the much-anticipated ministerial list from President Muhammadu Buhari anytime from now.
According to Independent, the president forwarded the list to the National Assembly in June and should be made public today, July 2.
The list was reportedly sent to the Department of State Services (DSS) early June for background security checks.
“Names of those cleared were sent back to the presidency in the last days of June,” Daily Post quoted an unnamed source as saying.
The report also quoted a presidential source as confirming the development.
The Herald recalls that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha confirmed last week that the list would be released in July.
The Senate is expected to fix dates for interview and subsequent confirmation of the ministerial nominees.
