Residents of Choba, a community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state are now living in apprehension following the murder of a generator repairer by unknown gunmen.
The ensuing apprehension prevented residents from opening their shops the following day.
An eyewitness, who spoke with Southern City News on condition of anonymity, said, “‘Mechanic’ was attacked inside his house very late in the night. The hoodlums shot and killed him; they cut off his head and genitals before throwing them (genitals) on the street.
“The criminals also shot at the man’s girlfriend, but she luckily survived. I think some people called the police; it was when the police came that they rescued the girl and took her to the hospital.
