Former Director General of the Bureau of Public Sector Reforms (BPSR), Dr Joe Abah has disclosed that he left the job because the pay was low and he did not want to dip his hands into government coffers.
He further disclosed that his wife would determine whether he would accept or reject any future appointment if he got offered any.
Abah, a trained lawyer and public intellectual, made the revelations while reacting to accusations of seeking public appointment by deliberately patronising the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.
The ex-BPRS DG, who is very active on Twitter, reacted to a troll on the microblogging platform.
A Twitter user, Bello Bissalla, said, “When someone is looking for appointment in the next level he will be speaking like Dr Joe Abah.”
Reacting, Abah said, “You guys really need to think of another accusation than this lame “looking for appointment” nonsense.
“I GAVE UP the appointment I had because the pay was too low & I didn’t want to steal.
“I am not looking, but if I do get offered another appointment, my wife will decide, not me.”
