The Greatest Beast Of All – By Femi Fani-Kayode

3 Min Read

The history of humanity is littered with wickedness, cruelty, injustice, tragedy, butchery, carnage and mind-bending examples and graphic episodes of man’s inhumanity to man.

The mass murder and wholesale genocide of innocents by the Assyrians, the Amalekites, the Canaanites, the Greeks, the Romans, the Medes, the Persians, the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Mongols, the Romans, the Ottomans, the Incas, the Aztecs, the British, the Belgians, the Spanish, the Americans, the Japanese, the Russians, the Turks, the French, the Germans, the Australians, the Cambodians, the Nigerians, the Hutus, the Boers, the Chinese, the Arabs and so many more.

I have studied much of world history and I have come to the conclusion that man is inherently evil.

The human being is by far the most cruel, unfeeling, greedy, acquisitive, brutish, bloodthirsty, deadly and self-serving creature that the Lord ever created.

We kill for fun, for pleasure and for sport. We kill to satisy our most basic and carnal desire for the primitive acquisition of land, power, treasure and wealth. We kill for vanity. We kill simply because we can.

We prey on and slaughter the ignorant, the weak, the innocent and the vulnerable and, like satan, we feed on their flesh, drink their blood and strip them of their liberty, self-respect, dignity and all they have.

What manner of beasts are we and what demons amongst the pantheon of Lucifers deities and hordes have possessed us so? Man’s inhumanity to man is only surpassed by his inhumanity to animals. We are indeed the greatest and most cruel beast of all.

Yet despite all this God still loves us and cherishes our precious souls. He yearns for us every day and reaches out to us with His agape love and His endless and infinite compassion and kindness.

What a loving and forgiving God we serve. He loves even the unlovable and He forgives even the unforgivable. Glory, praise and honor be unto His holy name forever.

*Fani-Kayode is a former Minister of Aviation
