There is a plot to attack and malign the person of National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Kaduna and environs, a popular senator has claimed.
The plan involves dragging the highly-regarded politician’s name in the mud in Hausa language and on Hausa Radio, Senator Shehu Sani, who represents Kaduna Central senatorial district, said on Monday.
Sani, a Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) senator, said that the plot could not have been hatched by members of the opposition as the names being used to execute it were known names in the ruling party.
The senator, who is known for writing cryptic messages on social media, made the claim in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle.
Although he did not specifically mention Tinubu’s name, he used the title ‘Asiwaju’, by which the former Lagos State Governor is popularly addressed.
The senator also failed to mention those sponsoring the attacks and those “sponsored” to execute it.
Sani said, “Some people are strategically being sponsored to attack and maligned the Asiwaju in Hausa language in Hausa Radio in Kaduna and environs.
“This certainly couldn’t have come from the opposition knowing the background of the kind of people being used.
“Some wars begins with a sniper.”
