The Ogun Signage and Advertisement Agency, on Monday said that it generated over N41 million for the government between January and March.
Mr Akin Bandele, General Manager of the agency, disclosed this while presenting the first quarter report of the agency before the State Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation led by Mr Victor Fasanya, at the Assembly Complex, Abeokuta.
The General Manager explained that the agency generated over N22.6 million on signages, over N4 million on mobile advertisement, N4.2 million on billboards and N10 million on street light poles.
“We have built a culture of transparency, integrity and professionalism through prudent management of resources and revenue drive.
“We have improved enlightenment campaigns to sensitise the public and we have also commenced de-clustering of un-serviceable billboards along Lagos /Ibadan expressway, ” he said.
Bandele added that the agency should be resourced with adequate investments in capital projects that would enhanced revenue drive.
In his submission, Fasanya explained that it was important to assess the performance of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, for the first quarter of the year, as the present state administration was winding up.
