A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has described the booing of APC Presidential Campaign Organisation’s Chairman, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and stoning of APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and other party chieftains in Ogun State as karmic.
The APC leaders were pelted with stones and booed off the stage at the APC Presidential Campaign Rally held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta on Monday.
Oshiomhole narrowly escaped being hit by stones and sachet water thrown from the crowd as he delivered his speech before he was rescued by a security operative.
Some hoodlums also booed Tinubu, calling him “Ole!” “Ole!” “Ole!” which translates to “Thief!” “Thief!” “Thief!”
Reacting, Omokri, who was Special Assistant to ex-President Jonathan on New Media, said that the APC leaders were so treated for insulting ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Recall that Tinubu had described Obasanjo as Nigeria’s greatest election rigger and “expired milk” at the APC Presidential Campaign Rally in Lagos on Saturday.
At the APC Presidential Campaign Rally in Ilorin, Kwara State on Monday, Oshiomhole alleged that he had pictures of Obasanjo using security agencies to snatch ballot boxes.
Omokri said, “But Olusegun Obasanjo has a strong head! It did not take up to 48 hours for those who were insulting him to receive the greatest insult of their lives. And just as their insults on Obj was caught on camera, their DISGRACE was caught on video.”
