Nine persons reportedly collapse at Atiku’s rally in Kano

Nine persons have reportedly collapsed at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano where the rally of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is being held.

The stadium was filled to the brim, hampering free movement of the crowd. Media report has it that eight persons were lying on the ground while security operatives made arrangement for them to be taken to the hospital.

The former vice president, who made his first stop at the palace of Muhammadu Sanusi, Emir of Kano, was welcomed by a crowd of supporters who lined up on the streets.

He was in company of Senate President Bukola Saraki, director-general of his campaign; Uche Secondus, national chairman of the PDP; Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano, among other key leaders of the opposition party.
