The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Adamu Mohammed, has retired all Deputy Inspectors-General of Police.
Recall that Mohammed was an Assistant Inspector General of Police before his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace retiring IGP, Ibrahim idris.
Mohammed has now retired all his erstwhile superiors.
According to The Nation, the affected officers include DIG in charge of Finance and Administration, Maigari Dikko; DIG in charge of operations, Habila Joshak; DIG Information and Communications Technology, Emmanuel Inyang; and DIG in charge of Logistics and Supply, Agboola Oshodi-Glover, the Nation reports.
Others are, DIG in charge of Research and Planning, Mohammed Katsina; DIG in charge of Training and Development, Sani Mohammed; and DIG in charge of Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, Peace Ibekwe-Abdallah.
“Well I believe the news of our retirement should be true and the Force Spokesman should be the best person to confirm it to you.
“Officially, we have not received letter of retirement but I think the Force Public Relations Officer will confirm it to the media soon,” one of the affected DIGs told the paper.
