Tee Mac, Kemen mourn late DJ XGee

4 Min Read
Some celebrities on Friday mourned  late Disc Jockey, Seun Omogaji, popularly known as DJ XGee, who died on Jan. 2, 2019.
They told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in separate interviews in Lagos that the death of DJ XGee’s  and  others before him meant  that depression was real and becoming rampant in the country .
Omogaji, who allegedly committed suicide by gulping an insecticide, “sniper”, was said to have had some marital problems with his  wife for about  six months.
NAN reports that the deceased wrote a note on his Instagram page , shortly before committing suicide.
Omogaji, in the  wrote said, “Okay, there is a twist to this last respect people give to their loved ones, when gone. Black is  a sign of sadness but in my case, please rock white because I love the colour so much.
“To all that I have made to smile and to those I have pissed off, trust me, I’m only being human.
“Enikorewa, I love you so much; Eriayo, your name sums it all up; you are truly the reason for my joy.
“Omobolanle Ajoke, you know I care; Moradeke, my mum, may my God heal you; and to my in-laws, stay blessed always.”
Dr Omatshola Iseli, popularly known as Tee Mac, commiserated with the family and fans of the deceased, describing the incident as pathetic.
He said that from the stories that surrounded the late DJ’s death, depression was suspected to be the problem he could not cope with.
Tee Mac, however, called on Nigerians to seek for better ways of handling depression while alive, as suicide was not the solution to it.
“This is quite sad, and it is known that a lot of people are depressed in the society right now.
“As many people  are depressed, I want them to know that suicide is not the solution, but seeking help at the right place and time.
“I give my condolences to his friends and family, and I pray his soul rests in peace,” he said.
Also, ex-housemate in the  Big Brother Naija, Ekemini Ekerette, known as Kemen, said that the DJ’s death was a sad one, and it  called for  a sober reflection.
He urged Nigerians to love and care more to groom healthy relationships, and should not give room for depression to thrive.
“This is an indication that depression is real, and we must love and care more so that we do not encourage depression.
“The greatest healer of all wound is love; so, let us encourage brotherly love.
“I don’t know DJ XGee personally, but with the stories I have heard that led to him committing suicide, that is my advice for us all.
“ May God repose his soul,” he said.
NAN reports that some entertainers had  also  been expressing  their shocks  to DJ XGee’ s death. (NAN)
