2019: Nigerians in Europe Laud Buhari’s Emergence as APC Presidential Candidate

Ijaw youths have expressed support for the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the president has executed well-meaning programmes in Ijaw land and South South geopolitical zone as a whole.

Acting under the aegis of Ijaw Youths Congress (IYC), the youths said that supporting Buhari was the only way to reciprocate the present administration’s laudable achievements in the region.

The IYC spokesman, Daniel Dasimaka, said, “IYC urges all to join voices to that of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Prof. Charles Dokubo, to offer mass support to the President’s second term bid for resisting wrong counsels to end PAP.

“Buhari needs second term to take, to next level, key policies and projects of his administration for good of the Niger Delta such as the Ogoni Clean-up, Bonny-Bodo Road, and the Nigerian Maritime University in Okerenkoko, approved for takeoff under his watch.

“Under Buhari’s administration, we have witnessed approvals for establishment of Modular Refineries across the Niger-Delta with 38 licenses covering high-scale refineries of 50,000 to 250,000 barrels per day issued thus far.

“The administration has completed 6 Cassava Processing Plants in Bayelsa, Rivers, Abia, Ondo, Cross River and Imo states, 130 youths trained on Poultry, Aquaculture, crop production with N1 Million start up capital for each beneficiary among other empowerment programmes that are changing lives among hundreds of persons.”
