Mr Onofiok Luke, the Speaker, Akwa Ibom House of Assembly says Gov. Udom Emmanuel needs another four years in office to complete the urbanisation of Eket town.

Luke stated this while interacting with youths and women in Eket Senatorial District at Qua Iboe Primary School in Usung Inyang on Sunday.

He pledged support for the re-election bid of the state governor, explaining that it would enable him complete ongoing projects.

The speaker explained that the bulk of money that accrued to Akwa Ibom was from the Eket Senatorial District.

He alleged that there was a game plan for the Eket district not to be developed by the opposition in the state.

“If past governors of the state, from Uyo and Ikot Ekpene senatorial districts governed for eight years respectively, how much more a governor from the producers of wealth in the state.

“We also want Gov. Emmanuel of Eket senatorial district to also serve for eight years.”

Luke urged the people of Akwa Ibom to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVCs) to enable them vote for all the PDP candidates in the state.

Also speaking, Mr Monday Uko, the State Commissioner for Youths and Sport said that the youth of Eket were grassroots mobilisers that would vote massively for the re-election of the governor.

“Please let us stand with Gov. Emmanuel so that he can succeed in office for a second term,” uko said. (NAN)
