Recently sacked manager, Jose Mourinho, has released a statement following his sacking from Manchester United
Mourinho was relieved of his duties after a poor start to the season which sees them sitting in 6th place
He thanked everyone at the club for the time he spent there.
“I have been immensely proud to wear the badge of Manchester United since the first day I arrived, and I believe all United supporters recognise this,” Mourinho said in his statement.
“Just as was the case with my previous clubs, I have worked with some wonderful people and I believe that some will be my friends for life.

“I know that you are all aware of my professional principles. Each time a chapter is closed I show my deepest respect and I don’t make any comments about my former colleagues.
“I hope the media will also respect my position and let me live my normal life until the moment I decide to return to football. Merry Christmas.”
Mourinho also said that he has a future without United and the club would be fine without him
“Manchester United has a future without me and I have a future without Manchester United.
“It’s over, that’s me and that’s how I’ve always been. I was always very critical of managers that leave clubs and then they come out and they speak about the details of what happened, who is to blame. That’s not me.
“Until I get back to football I feel I have to right to live my normal life.”
The Portuguese manager was replaced by former devil, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who will take Manchester United to face off with Cardiff City, a club he also managed
