Manchester United attacker, Anthony Martial has revealed what he had to do to get back into Jose Mourinho’s good graces.
The French forward hasn’t enjoyed much of Mourinho’s reign as he has been serially kept on the bench and hardly got any run of games with Lukaku and Rashford preferred to him.
In recent times, however, Martial has been an ever present in the first team squad, contributing some good goals along the way and with Lukaku struggling to score, much of United’s attacking responsibility falls on the Frenchman.
According to Martial, increasing his work rate and meticulously following Mourinho’s tactical instructions has gotten him his place in the team back

“I think that [my improvement] is more on a tactical level,” he told United’s club programme.
“I try and take up good positions so I can best help out my team.
“I have been trying to work harder defensively too, and to really try and help out the side when we aren’t in possession of the ball.
“We work a lot on tactics and I try and do my best. I listen carefully to the advice of all the coaching staff we have here and I find that this helps me a lot.”
