Like a scene from a Nigerian Nollywood Flick, an ex-banker apparently decided to rob his former employers as payback from being dismissed from the bank.

Emmanuel Onuma was arrested by police for breaking into an Automated Teller Machine Gallery of a new generation bank and stealing N14million.
The incident reportedly occurred at the Garki area of Abuja, The Nigerian Federal Capital on October 19, 2018.
The 34 year old and a few other suspects were paraded by the police in Abuja on Wednesday as the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations, FCT Command, Valentine Olumese, informed newsmen that the former banker had been dismissed back in August for engaging in fraudulent activities at the bank.
The Assistant Commissioner stated;
“On November 1, in furtherance of an ongoing investigation, police operatives attached to the Garki Division arrested one Emmanuel Onuma, who broke into the ATM lobby of a bank located in Garki on October 19 at about midnight and stole the sum of N14m.
Police also revealed further that the culprit had changed the sum into foreign currency amounting to $33,000 to enable him move his loot easily.
“Upon his arrest, the following amounts of money were recovered from him as exhibits: cash sum of $28,000; N1,650,120 and nine pieces of Ghana cedis. Other exhibits recovered from him include one new SIM card and flight tickets,” the commissioner added.
When asked by newsmen, the ex-banker admitted to his crimes, saying he did it to repay his former employers who refused to pay his benefits after dismissing him from the job.
“I worked with the bank for 11 years and I was not settled; no benefits, no settlement; but there is no justification for doing something wrong,” he said.
He however declined to make further statements, backing away from journalists at the station.
