The management of Italian Football Club Juventus are standing behind their star player Cristiano Ronaldo amidst allegations of rape levelled against him by a former night club worker, Kathryn Mayorga.
The management of Juventus came out in defence of Cristiano Ronaldo issuing a statement declaring the innocence of the star forward and one of the most expensive players in the world.
33 Year old Cristiano also known as C. Ronaldo is being accused of rape by Nevada born Mayorga who claims the incident happened in 2009 on the same night the deal that would see Ronaldo move to Real Madrid from Manchester United fell through.
As the rape allegation was circulated on social media, C. Ronaldo took to Instagram to deny the allegations vehemently, saying it was all fake news and the incident never happened.
Juventus issued a statement in defense of their star forward saying;
“Cristiano Ronaldo has shown in recent months his great professionalism and dedication, which is appreciated by everyone at Juventus.
The events allegedly dating back to almost 10 years ago do not change this opinion, which is shared by anyone who has come into contact with this great champion.”

According to Mayorga, the incident happened after the five time Ballon d’or winner introduced himself to himself to her in the VIP section of the Las Vegas night club.
They exchanged contacts and got invited by the star to his penthouse at the Palms Place Hotel.
While changing clothes to get into his jacuzzi, Mayorga said that Ronaldo walked in and asked her to perform sexual acts.
She then alleged that although she continuously refused,Ronaldo forced himself on her and committed rape.
Her lawyer, Leslie Stovall said Mayorga was keeping away from the media and the public because of her precarious emotional state over the issue.
The allegations have begun to have an effect on the football star as Sports Giant Nike, one of the sponsors of C. Ronaldo have expressed concerns regarding the allegations.
