Breakup Alert? Migos’ Quavo Confirms Solo Project

2 Min Read

Migos is one of the hottest groups right now, but there are fears that a break-up might be on the way after Quavo confirmed that he has a solo project coming up.

The hiphop trio from Georgia are currently on the  “Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour” with Drake

Speaking while in New York, Quavo told Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez in an interview that he had an upcoming project and he gave a few details about it.

He also said that it didn’t mean he was leaving the group and even said that both Offset and Takeoff have some solo projects of their own that they want to undertake.

It could be the preclude to a breakup, on the other hand, it might simply be an artiste looking at other creative ways to express himself.

Meanwhile, Quavo also reacted to his name being mentioned on Nicki Minaj’s ‘Barbie Dreams’ track.

In a separate interview with Hot 97, the rapper admits that he was surprised to hear his name on the track and had a good laugh about it, saying he wasn’t offended in any way

On the track, in which Nicki mentioned many people including 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and others, Minaj said, “Somebody go and make sure Karreuche okay though/I heard she think I’m tryna give the coochie to Quavo.”

The rapper said that the call out was crazy and said, “I heard the album before it dropped but I didn’t hear that record,”

Nicki Minaj was quick to point out that the track was not a diss track but rather poking a bit of fun with rappers with whom she was friends with.

She said on Twitter: “I only mentioned people in #BarbieDreams that I f** wit,

“This isn’t a diss. Yikes. This is culture, this is BIGGIE!!!!! New York!!!! This is FUN. Light hearted FUN.”
