Mourinho Dragging Man U Down, He has to Go- Former Utd Player

2 Min Read

Manchester United are a club in crisis and time is running out for coach Jose Mourinho to turn things around.

Many have come out to criticise the Portuguese for his methods, tactics and player management and a former United player has now openly stated that the tactician has got to go.

Paul Parker who was a defender for the Red Devils stated that Mourinho is dragging the club down and the club is now in need of someone fresh to take over and make them competitive again.

Parker doesn’t believe Mourinho has anything left to offer. Speaking on Talksport, the former defender said: “There has been so much poor football.

“Performances have been poor and too many people are out there saying he is a winner and it is just about winning. Manchester United are not just about winning.

“They’re about a style, the manner they win in. It is about a swagger. They are not doing that any more. That has been taken away from them, that has been virtually coached out of them.

“There is no self expression any more, they do not improvise.

“You are paying players millions and millions and still trying to control them. That does not make sense for a club like Manchester United.

“At the end of the day, Manchester United have to change. Their style of play is not going to change while Jose Mourinho is in charge.

“It is the way in which he manages which is pulling the players down.”

Mourinho has already lashed out at the media, demanding that he be respected and noting that he had more titles than the 19 other managers in the league.

He may still have some time as he only signed a new deal in January, so it is possible that he is given a bit more time to stem the tide, but only a little more.
