Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday morning underwent a physical examination at a Bayelsa hospital.
The ex-president underwent the procedure at the Bayelsa Socialist Hospital in the state capital Yenagoa.
The senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce, disclosed this in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.
He captioned the tweet, “I am currently with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Bayelsa Socialist Hospital in Yenagoa where he is doing his physical. Bayelsa State has one of the best medical facilities in West Africa and we are happy the former President is able to experience this.”

Obasanjo is in Bayelsa for the state’s first summit on infant and maternal mortality where it will launch the Safe Motherhood Policy of the Seriake Dickson-led government.

Obasanjo and Vice President of Liberia, Mrs. Jewel Howard Taylor would be chairman and special guest of honour at the event respectively, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said in a statement.
Obasanjo also visited another former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, in their home in Otuoke, Ogbia local government area of the state.
