A young, killer boyfriend, who murdered his girlfriend and dumped her body by the roadside in Benin city, has been arrested.
The victim, Matilda Odiri, 18, was reportedly killed by her boyfriend who stabbed her to death after she was said to have visited his room.
The incident occurred at 2, Akugbe Street, Off Sikuko Road, Ogida, Benin City, last Saturday.
According to reports, Odiri was at her boyfriend’s house where she was to spend the night, however, she was stabbed by her killer boyfriend.
The suspect has been identified as Junior Omo Shaba.

The Killer boyfriend is now in the custody of the police at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Benin.
According to reports, the murder was said to have occurred after the victim accused the murderer of having an affair.
According to the Police, the suspect confessed to the murder in a statement and also claimed that he murdered the victim after an argument and dumped her body on the street, to cover up the act.
The suspect was also planning to make a run for it and was intent on going to the Aduwawa area of Benin, but his father facilitated his arrest.
Speaking on the incident, the public relations officer for Edo State Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, said it is a case of murder and the suspect, Junior Omo Shaba would be arraigned in court soon.
