Just like in the folk tales we used to read as kids, a priest decided to test his congregation by dressing as a beggar to see how he would be treated by the congregants.
The cleric, Rev Fr Thaddeus Ilechukwu, of Nnewi Diocese in Anambra State, sat at the church gate in filthy clothing, begging for alms in the hopes that his church members or people around would help him.
It was not to be
Not only was he not helped, some people even chased him away from the gate
Satisfied with his little social experiment, the cleric obtained entry into the church and headed straight for the altar where he then revealed his identity to the shock of the congregation.
The video has gone viral and has led to all sorts of comments and social commentary
