The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has condemned penultimate weekend’s killings in Plateau that left no less than 100 persons dead.
Describing the Plateau incident and others across the nation as “sad”, the revered cleric however said that there is hope for Nigeria.
Adeboye made this known at a Special Thanksgiving Service at the church’s headquarters in Ebuta Metta, Lagos on Sunday, The Nation reported.
Adeboye, who was represented by Assistant General Overseer on Personnel and Administration, Pastor Johnson Odesola, called on the security agencies to be pragmatic to address incessant killings across the country.
He said, “There is still hope for this nation, though what is happening in the country is very sad, but hope is not lost as God has not left us alone. There are still pockets of things we can see around that will make us happy.”
