Veteran actor premieres new movie “AISE”

Veteran Actor, Segun Akiremi, popularly known as “Kanran” premieres his 65th movie titled “AISE” meaning “DON’T”.
The movie premiere which had over 200 guests in attendance was held at Opeyemi Event centre, Sango, Ota, Ogun state.
Akiremi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the movie was to draw viewers’ attention to the dangers of covetousness, greed and not being able to keep secrets
He said many people had failed in their endeavours in life due to the aforementioned bad habits.
He  urge Nigerians to consciously deal with such habits to achieve success bearing in mind that their behaviour influences others.
” We all must work towards perfection in our dealings by guiding against covetousness, greed and divulging secrets.
” The movie exposes the repercussions of exhibiting such bad habits,” he said.

Akiremi said that the movie, which gulped over N15 million, was delayed for premiere over two years ago due to piracy.

“This movie will be premiered in other states of the federation before it is released to the market.”

He said that there were challenges in sourcing for finances to fund the movie production, getting sponsors and some other logistic issues.
NAN reports that 6 scenes were displayed from the entire movie, featuring Nollywood thespians like: Dele Module; Kola Olaiya; Lanre Hassan; Remi Oshodi, Peju Ogunmola and more.
The veteran actor called for sponsors to build an art city which would be called Nollywood estate where movies would be shot to guard against inconveniencing people whose houses were used to shoot movies.
He said that 75 hectares of land was given to him over 10 years ago by a
Nollywood lover in Oyo state which would be used for the construction of art city.
” I intend to make the art city an abode for artistes to shoot their movies, we will have hospitals, choice houses and all that is needed,” he said.
Mrs Ajoke Ade, a trader, described the movie as captivating with intrigues which teach morals.
” This is quite commendable for actor Segun Akiremi, this is another morally densed movie which he is known for, ” she said.
Mr Adedire Adeoye, a journalist said that movie portrayed Nigerian cultural values specifically the Yoruba culture needed to be passed to the younger ones.
” The movie is an interesting one for me because it displayed our cultural values, this is a good one so that our culture does not go into extinction, ” he said.
Another viewer, Dr Abdur-Razar Aremu, a music producer said that the picture production was a sharp. (NAN)
