#MeToo Movement: Brad Pitt Threatened to Kill Harvey Weinstein Over Sexual Assault

2 Min Read

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow narrated how her ex-Boyfriend, Brad Pitt, had stood up for her after she had been assaulted by Harvey Weinstein.

Weinstein was last year exposed as having sexually assaulted dozens of Hollywood actresses in what snowballed to become the #MeToo movement. Weinstein has since lost his company and is facing multiple charges.

Paltrow in an interview with Howard Stern, yesterday, revealed that Weinstein had assaulted her when she was 22-years-old and had called her to his hotel for a ‘work meeting’. He had then laid hands on her and told her that they should move to his bedroom for a massage.

She said she had told her then-boyfriend, Brad Pitt about the incident and that Pitt had gotten so angry that he had threatened Weinstein saying he’d kill him if he ever made her feel uncomfortable again.

According to Paltrow, Pitt said “If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.”

She expressed her happiness at this and said: “It was the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically,

“It was so fantastic because what he did was, he leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet. He’s the best.”

She also claimed that Weinstein had afterwards threatened her and told her not to speak to anyone about it again

“I thought he was going to fire me,” Paltrow told The Times. “He screamed at me for a long time. It was brutal.”
