Abuja Lady Gruesomely Murdered One Week After Firing Driver, Gateman

2 Min Read

An Abuja-based lady met a gruesome end after she was stabbed several times by an unknown assailant as she stepped out of her house to turn on the generator.

The woman who was identified as, Onise Ismail, was said to be in her late 20s and was living alone.

She lived in Citec Estate, Mbora, Jabi bypass, Abuja and was reportedly stabbed in her chest and neck till she died.

According to the Punch, Ize, as she was popularly known, had just one week before her demise fired her Gateman and driver and due to the fact that her assailant knew she was going to be alone, there has been some suspicion.

Speaking of the sad incident, a family member who spoke on the condition of anonymity to the Punch said that a neighbour heard her as she pleaded for her life but was too afraid to step in.

The family member added that the murderer made sure to ransack the house for valuables before fleeing the blood-soaked scene.

“We learnt that a neighbour heard her pleading with her assailant not to kill her, but he (the neighbour) was too scared to intervene. By the time he went to check on her, she had given up the ghost and her assailant had fled. The yard and the room was soaked with the blood of the deceased,”

The killer dumped Ize’s body in her room where she was found, but it is believed she was actually killed outside the house.

An investigation has been commenced and it is believed that the person/persons responsible for the crime will be brought to book.
