A recent list of world’s 100 Powerful People released by respected American business magazine Forbes has placed Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote as the 66th Most Powerful Person in the world.
He is one of two Africans on the list, with Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi (ranked 45th), the only other.
The President of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, does not appear on the list.
Dangote is also ranked as more powerful than American Vice President, Mike Pence, who is ranked 67th.
The first three ranked on the list: President Xi Jinping (1st), Russian President Vladimir Putin (2nd) and U.S. President Donald Trump (3rd).
Dangote is also ranked by Forbes as one of world’s 100 richest people with a combined wealth of $14.1 billion as at March 2018.
