2 Min Read

At the end of the day, love for your fellow man is the best thing we can exhibit as human beings.

The Michigan police showed this when they organized 13 Semi-trucks to line up beneath a bridge to stop a man from jumping from the bridge and taking his life.

The I-696 freeway was the scene of this touching story and it was temporarily shut down after police received reports that a man was threatening to jump from the bridge and end his life.

The police enlisted the help of 13 truck drivers to line up at the bottom of the bridge, therefore, shortening the fall of the man if he were to jump.

The official Twitter account of the Michigan police tweeted a photo of the incident and wrote: This photo does show the work troopers and local officers do to serve the public. But also in that photo is a man struggling with the decision to take his own life. Please remember help is available through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

Th gesture worked as the man aborted his suicide attempt and instead walked off the bridge after which he was taken to the hospital and checked.
