Islamist terror group, Boko Haram are said to be on their way to Dapchi town in Yobe state to return, Leah Sharibu, the only Christian girl remaining in their hold out of the 110 girls abducted from Government Girls Science and Technical College on February 19.
Recall that the dreaded group had on March 21 returned all the girls in their custody, except Sharibu, who they refused to return because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.
But according to TheCable, quoting sources in Dapchi, the insurgents were as at 3pm on Saturday about 20 kilometres away from the town.
The news was said to have sent chills down the spines of some residents who quickly abandoned the town for fear that the insurgents could want to abduct more people.
“The news that they are bringing back the girl was received with mixed feelings
“Some people are jubilating but many have abandoned their homes out of fear. There is confusion as I speak to you. What if they decide to abduct more people. Those guys are lunatics,” a source is quoted as saying by the online medium.
