EFCC Didn’t Find Any Dollars In Our House – Boroh’s Wife

2 Min Read

Mrs Ibinye Boroh, the wife of the sacked Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig.-Gen. Paul Boroh (rtd) has denied any cash find in their house.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had embarked on a search of Boroh’s house on Monday, March 19.

After the search, some sections of the media had reported that $9 million cash was found in the house.

However, Mrs Boroh in a Wednesday press conference declared the reports as false and fabricated.

She said, “ This is to inform the general public that no cash was discovered and could have been discovered by government operatives during their search of our house on Monday , March 19 , 2018.

“ The publication by a section of the press stating the contrary is fabricated , false in its entirety , malicious and calculated to mislead the public . Our family feels embarrassed and harassed , and therefore requests the authors to retract same . ”

Boroh’s lawyer, Olusola Oke (SAN), also said that no cash was discovered in the house.

The Punch quoted the spokesman of EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, as saying that Boroh was still in the custody of the EFCC.

He declined to confirm if money was recovered from the suspect.

“I cannot confirm at the moment if money was recovered from him l,” Uwujaren said.
