Barcelona’s talismanic forward, Lionel Messi has pulled out of the club’s La Liga game against Malaga on Saturday.
The Argentine pulled out amid reports that his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo is set to deliver their third child.
Messi currently has two children with his childhood sweetheart – Thiago, 5, and Mateo, 2.
According to AFP, the third child is expected to be named Ciro.
Barcelona confirmed Messi’s pullout with a tweet on Saturday morning: “Change to the squad. Messi is out for personal reasons and Yerry Mina takes his place.”
Barcelona lead La Liga table in the current campaign, with second-placed Atletico Madrid eight points short of Ernesto Valverde’s men.
