The senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Shehu Sani, has advised Nigerians to hold government and security agencies responsible for killings in the country.
Sani made this known via his verified personal Facebook and Twitter accounts on Monday morning.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) senator, while condemning attacks in Mambila, Taraba State, said that the nation is “witnessing nothing but a systematic act of ethnic cleansing and vendetta”.
Suspected Mambila militia razed 15 Fulani communities last week, killing 14 persons and injuring many others in Sardauna LGA, Taraba State.
Sani said, “The attacks and killings in Mambila stands unreservedly condemned.
“We are witnessing nothing but a systematic act of ethnic cleansing and vendetta.
“We are becoming a nation in perpetual funeral service. This mass murder must stop.
“This is not a good time to fight or love the Government and security agencies when people are being killed everyday, but it’s the time to hold the Government and security agencies to account when people are being killed everyday.”
