A lady who rejected her boyfriend’s public proposal in a mall on her birthday has defended her action.
The lady, whose Instagram handle is @symply_tacha, accused her boyfriend whom she identified as Enzo of cheating with her best friend and her best friend’s kid sister.
She also said that the proposal was ill-timed and capable of ruining her birthday.
She said: “I’m sorry I disappointed my friends and family present there. It’s my fucking birthday; why ruin it with an engagement? Did you talk to me about it??!! NO! Now I have people insulting and calling me names on blogs! I blame you Enzo. You fucked my best friend (Kandy) and also slept with her kid sister. How did you ever expect me to forgive you!! I feel very embarrassed; I have been crying. I regret saying yes to you on the bus on our way to Oyo. You played me. What will people say about me? You embarrassed me at the mall!!!

One supporter mused: ‘I don’t think the woman was in the wrong. They have obviously dated, so it wasn’t that she doesn’t like him because he is poor.
‘The woman said “she can’t take a shower if there is no bathroom”, she is not asking for a big house, only the basic life necessity. Why wrong has she done?’
However, a critic of the woman, wrote: ‘I’ll choose bread. After all, love will expire and [the woman] will have a worse life if [her husband] has an affair when she gets old. I’d rather choose bread from the very beginning. At least, I won’t have to live a miserable life.’
Some viewers also said that the man was ‘asking for humiliation’ by proposing in public.
