The Federal Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, has stated that the incessant blackout currently being experienced by Nigerians will last for about two weeks when gas supply is expected to be more stable.
Prof. Nebo, said this in Abuja on Tuesday at the 6th Power Summit/Civil Society Organisations Forum.
He said the near total blackout currently being experienced by Nigerians was as a result of the failure of seven power plants to produce any electricity, gas supply shortages to power plants, and shutdown of some plants for maintenance.
“Hopefully, within two weeks, we will have more gas going into our power plants, which means we will have more power generation and increased supply,” he said.
